Yesterday I ran to work again. I must have tweaked something in the morning because my achilles was sore during the day, but I still had to run home. So I was very careful as I ran. I tried to keep it as smooth as possible so that I didn’t land too heavily.
It was harder work. It involved more muscles working together, and they’re complaining today that they’re not used to it. It didn’t feel much different speedwise as I was going, but I measure every run, and when I got home I discovered it was a minute quicker than the run to work in the morning. All my effort had gone into pushing me forwards, instead of wasting some by springing into the air.
So what about you? Can you coordinate your team so all your effort goes into pushing forwards?
